Success Story - Woody Woodpile
|
|

May 10, 2002 Woody arrives. His history is classified as "a
mystery." This ten-day-old kitten, found in a woodpile, has one eye barely open and
the other filled with dirt and pus. His right leg is broken.
This little tyke is gutsy from day one. He eats like a champ, sleeps
through the night (wow!), and sucks down every ounce of formula we offer him.

May 28 Woody's first meal, all on his own. What a mess! He moves
around on three legs, holding his little injured leg up like he is begging for sympathy.
He gets it frequently.
July 15 Woody is moving around at a high rate of speed on three
legs. He falls on his right side frequently, but jerks himself up. His motto is "Try,
try again!"
August 10 Woody's leg has healed nicely, and he is using all four
legs. This little rascal is running like gangbusters everywhere. He is so devilish...he's
wonderful!

Woody Woodpile...you make me smile.
Update on Woody Woodpile
| October, 2004 -- "Woody turned two
in May, and continues to do very well despite his rough beginning. He loves
to play with anything that moves...even our toes! He is much loved and
brings lots of joy to our household." --Marilyn

| It takes a lot of people pulling together to make success stories
like Woody's a reality. If our cats are never
offered a home, they can live at the shelter for the rest of their lives.
They will receive lots of love, and all the care and comfort they need. But
we need your help to do this.
