When Dancer was born,
the umbilical cord was wrapped very tightly around one of
her back feet.
Most of the tissue on the foot died and turned black. We
were very sad. It appeared Dancer was going to be a cat with
only three feet.

Luckily only part of
the foot was removed. As the weeks passed, her foot healed
and she had a wonderful bounce to her every step.

Dancer has had no
further problems with her foot. She now lives happily with
her new adoptive family in Leominster, MA.
It takes a lot of people pulling together to make success stories
like Dancer's a reality. If our cats are
never offered a home, they can live at the shelter for the rest of their
lives. They will receive lots of love, and all the care and comfort they
need. But we need your help to do this.
